POINSETTIAS
If anyone is interested in having a poinsettia on the altar in memory of a loved one for Christmas, please let Jan Fick know by December 18 so that your information can go in the bulletin.  If you ordered from Blossoms and Bouquets, we already have the info.

ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT

Advent by Candlelight is scheduled for next,Sunday, December 3, in the Wonewoc Campus church basement. There will be a luncheon and program beginning at 12:00pm. (PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE.  It was previously scheduled to start at 12:30pm.) All ladies in our congregation are warmly invited to attend this activity. If you are not already attending, and would like to come, we ask that you sign up on the sheet on the stand in the stairway in Wonewoc or in the narthex in Hillsboro by today, November 26. Or you can call the church office at 464-3212 and let us know you are coming. This will help us plan for seating and meal numbers.  Thank you. 

CHRISTMAS DECORATING

The Wonewoc church decorating will take place on December 2 beginning at 9:30am.  We will put up the trees, the outside nativity and decorate the windows.  If we get a good turnout to help, we should be done by noon.  (The basement will also be open all day for decorating tables for Sunday’s Advent by Candlelight event on Sunday). Hillsboro church decorating will be right after the 8:00 service on December 3.

SPECIAL ADVENT SERVICE DEC. 3 ‑ ST. PAUL, TOMAH

On December 3rd at 4PM, the combined choirs of St Paul, Tomah, and St John's, Sparta, lead in a Service of Advent Lessons and Carols titled 'Let Earth Receive Her King'. This special service, which will help in preparing our hearts for Christmas, all the while encouraging us to look for that Second Advent (Second Coming) of our Lord Jesus Christ. LaCrosse native Lloyd Harter will serve as organist for the service and will present an organ concert at 3:30PM until the start of service.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS SERVICE – DECEMBER 17

The children’s Christmas service will be held on Sunday, December 17, at 4:00pm.  There will be only a single service. 

CHRISTMAS EVE/DAY WORSHIP

On Sunday December 24, morning services will be at 8:00 and 10:30 as usual.  Then there will be the Christmas Cantata at Wonewoc at 4:00pm and a Christmas Eve contemplative worship service at 6:30pm in Hillsboro. Christmas Day worship will take place at 8:00am in Hillsboro and 10:30am in Wonewoc.

WORSHIP SURVEY

A survey has been put together by the pastors and elders looking for feedback on various aspects of our worship practices. Now that we are almost two years into our use of the new hymnal, we want to gather information on how the introduction process has gone, as well as other aspects of our worship services. Paper copies are available at church, or you can fill out the survey online by going to stpaulhw.com/worshipsurvey.
